As one of the best known experts in the industry, owner Cheryl Carlson works to provide the most comprehensive Training programs available. 

 

Specializing in German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois, Cher Car Kennels strives to produce the working dog you remember from childhood. 

 

Cheryl Carlson has been training dogs professionally since 1977.  She is certified as an E.M.S. instructor in the field of Environmental Emergencies, has been certified as an expert witness in the state of Michigan in regards to training of police dogs, dog attacks, and dog behavior.

 

She is a certified Campagne decoy (a French sport consisting of bitework, agility, obedience and tracking)  and is a certified National Association  Of Protection Dogs (N.A.P.D.) decoy, as well as an N.A.P.D. judge.

 

She is a UKC certified judge for all levels of Dog Sport trials, and is certified by Service Dogs of America to select and certify helpers/decoys. 

 

She has titled dogs in conformation, agility, obedience, Schutzhund, French Ring and Campagne, herding, racing, and SDA/Service Dogs of America.

 

Cheryl Carlson has trained and certified 43 police K-9's to date, with those teams being trained in patrol, narcotics, and occasionally explosive detection. She has also trained and certified other trainers in police work.

Cheryl has been giving "Dog Bite Prevention" talks since 1987, and is a paid consultant in this matter to the United States Postal Service, GTE, Consumers Energy, FIA, UPS, Visiting Nurses, and many more.

Cher Car Kennels is proud to host an UKC Services Dogs of America trial September 8th and 9th.

 

Judge is Matt Aikenhead

Spectators welcome, please leave your dogs at home.

Trial starts at 10:00 PM

Captial City and Cer Car Kennels will also be hosting another Service Dogs of America trial in Bellville the following weekend, in conjunction with the Michigan American Pit Bull Terrier specialty.
